Carving on Clay

After many many hours of carving, the flower is finally complete! I never imagined I could actually draw a classic flower and carve it out of clay, but it is done:) Patience and persistence is what I need to learn on a continuous basis and this was the perfect exercise.

Private Ceramics Workshop

What present would you give to your sister who is getting married this weekend?

Wei Wei decided to engage Studio Asobi for a private clay workshop so that she and Wei Yin can spend a meaningful time together making something of their own!

Really impressed with their unique and beautiful hand-pinched vessels, borne out of their love for each other. It’s really a joy for me to be a part of this wonderful experience:)

Comments from Wei Wei:

“It was really fun spending time in Studio Asobi! From entering the space to having a lovely cup of tea and looking at the different pieces and techniques teacher Huiwen used, we had a wonderful and unforgettable evening. She was really patient with us and we were surprised by how we managed to create our final pieces with her guidance. Feeling the clay under your hands was therapeutic and awakened our senses:)”
